Black and white image of people picking strawberries. A woman bends over to adjust her pants leg in the front left of the image, while several other people in the near foreground pick berries, some by standing astride the row and bending over, while others kneel on the ground. All have small wheeled carts with trays for their berries. In the background a pick-up is parked, and more people pick berries. Museum records do not identify either the farm or its location, nor do they identify the workers, but the landscape is very typical of Washington County. This photo was part of the Herbert McMullen bequest. McMullen was a local photographer who, in addition to taking his own photographs, collected images that depicted daily life in the area.
