Description

A photographic postcard of the "Portland Sanitarium," or hospital, showing a building with a corner rotunda and large exterior staircase. A note postmarked from Eldridge, California appears on the back. Eldridge was also home to a mental health sanitarium. The author, "Pearle," may have been a patient or a nurse. It is addressed to Mrs. L. A. Markee in the nearby town of Kenwood.
