Physics Professor Tom Griffith at the dedication of Pacific University's "Chemistry Unit of the Science Complex," later named Murdock Hall. This event took place on January 22, 1981. Griffith was Chairman of Pacific's Division of Science and Mathematics at that time. According to the student newspaper: "The new chemistry unit features 24 person stations in two laboratories and 12 stations in another lab" (The Index, Jan. 16, 1981). This is one of a set of images taken at the dedication.
