Mary was married to Herman Alvin Lewis. Liberta graduated from Tualatin Academy in 1899, received her Master's degree in Education at Columbia University, and married Alfred Diehl Schoch. Both were the great granddaughters of Tabitha Moffatt Brown, who helped found Tualatin Academy and is known as the 'Mother of Oregon.'
