Portrait of David Raffety, Pacific University Class of 1867. The Class of 1867 installed the petrified stump on the grounds of Pacific University. He later returned to school and graduated from Willamette University Medical School in 1880, and ran a joint medical practice with his brother Charles. He was one of the Commissioners of the Lewis and Clark Exposition.

Portrait of George Tamiesie. Tamiesie was born in Iowa but grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in medicine in 1902, and practiced medicine in Portland.
