Description

A man, most likely a member of the Pacific University AV (audio-visual) unit's staff, operating what appears to be an AV control panel. On a related version of this slide, the man signed his own name as "David C. [Shimp?]"; his last name being only partially legible. The buttons have labels including "Matte, Blank, Black Burst, Color Bars, Effect", possibly indicating that he was editing video. At the time that this image was taken, Pacific was operating a public access cable broadcast studio; this may have been a part of it. This photograph was likely taken by a Pacific staff photographer for use in a campus publication. The original slide was printed in August, 1983.
