Pacific University students at a Haumana O Hawai'i (Hawaiian Club) event in the fall of 1970. The image is blurry. Three of the students are identified on the original slide as: Guy Nishizawa (Class of 1974); Carl Itamura (Class of 1974); and Sherman Cruz. This photograph was likely taken at the home of Professor Fred Scheller, who lived in Aloha, Oregon. Scheller was an advisor to Haumana O Hawai'i, and appears to have hosted many social events for Hawaiian students around this time period.
