Student holding a mask for a theatre performance
-
Description
-
A Pacific University student in costume and holding a mask, in preparation for a theatre performance. Based on other related images, this was likely taken at a performance of "The Royal Hunt of the Sun," which ran at Pacific's Tom Miles Theater in February-March, 1968. The actors, who were students at Pacific University, wore costumes inspired by Mexican folk dress. The plot centered on the conquest of the Incan Empire of Peru by the Spanish conquistador Pizarro. The slide was printed in November, 1968. For another view of the same student wearing the mask she is holding here, see PUA_PeoSlides_043.
