Governor Atiyeh biting into turkey sandwich made from turkeys from the Norbest processing plant. Some 27,000 turkeys were impounded from the a flock near McMinnville, Oregon after state and federal tests showed some of the birds had high concentrations of PCB, a cancer causing chemical. Free turkey sandwiches were offered by the Chamber of Commerce to offset or counteract adverse publicity that the impounding caused. Atiyeh said 'it tastes good,' after he bit into the sandwich.
