A photograph of a group of female Pacific University students. They are posing on the front porch of the West Wind Lodge. The sign on the Cabin has H.L Hopkins name on it. Professor Harold Lynd Hopkins was the Professor of Economics and Sociology at Pacific University during this time. They could possibly be part of the Y.W.C.A. or Young Women's Christian Association. The Y.W.C.A. was founded in Portland in 1907. Forest Grove would eventually have their own branch at Pacific University. Young woman would often travel together to the beach with their Y.W.C.A. group. This photograph appears in an album that was compiled by Edith Hansen McGill, a 1930 Pacific University graduate.
